Yes. All Bengal kittens from Bengal Kittens Breeders Home are fully TICA (The International Cat Association) registered. TICA registration is the gold standard of pedigree cat registration and confirms the authenticity and quality of our Bengal breeding programme.
Bengal Kittens Breeders Home holds Animal Activity Licence number 22/00259, held by R. Shuaghnessy. This licence is issued by the local authority and confirms that our breeding operation meets all UK legal requirements for animal welfare and responsible breeding.
Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) is a common virus in cats that, in rare cases, can mutate into the fatal Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). Bengal Kittens Breeders Home operates a closed, controlled breeding environment with a structured FCoV elimination protocol developed in collaboration with our veterinary practice and following guidance from Dr Addie at The University of Glasgow. We are proud to be the only Bengal breeder in the UK who guarantees that kittens leave us FCoV clear.
Our health testing is among the most comprehensive of any Bengal breeder in the UK. All breeding Bengals are DNA tested for 50 genetic conditions including Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKdef), Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRAb), Progressive Retinal Atrophy rdAc, and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD variant 1). Every breeding cat also undergoes annual echocardiographic screening for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM).
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most commonly diagnosed cardiac disease in cats. It causes the muscular walls of a cat's heart to thicken, decreasing the heart's efficiency. At Bengal Kittens Breeders Home, every breeding cat undergoes annual echocardiographic screening for HCM to identify and remove any cats from our breeding programme where genetics may play a role.

Yes. Bengal cats make wonderful family pets when sourced from a responsible breeder with a thorough socialisation programme. Our kittens are raised within our family home from birth, exposed to children, household sounds, and everyday life. This ensures they are confident, adaptable, and perfectly prepared for family living.
Bengal cats raised with good socialisation generally adapt well to households with other pets. Our kittens' early socialisation within a busy home environment prepares them for life with other animals. We advise a careful, gradual introduction to ensure all animals feel comfortable and secure.
Yes. Bengal cats are completely legal in the UK. Domestic Bengal cats are typically F4 or later generations from the Asian Leopard Cat crossing, making them fully domesticated and legal as pets throughout the United Kingdom. All of our Bengal kittens are fully domesticated and compliant with all UK regulations.
Bengal cats typically live between 12 and 16 years, with many living beyond this when well cared for. The comprehensive health testing carried out at Bengal Kittens Breeders Home — including DNA testing for 50 conditions and annual HCM screening — gives our kittens the very best foundation for a long and healthy life.
Our kittens are weaned onto a high-quality raw and premium wet food diet. We provide full dietary guidance in our kitten information pack, including recommended food brands and feeding schedules. Maintaining a consistent diet initially helps your kitten settle smoothly into their new home.
Bengal cats are highly intelligent and social animals that thrive on interaction and mental stimulation. They form strong bonds with their families and enjoy being involved in daily life.
